539_LAMPADA DIM
a dim lamp behind a dense shade
then thins out in long ribbons hanging:
this is the source of light when you wake up, the light that
reveals the blue wall behind the
next night that lingers
then moved to the west, behind the roof
very black and shiny
rain and tar,
let a warm yellow us touch, so
a small pink or gray
comfort us in doubt of awakening
you try it, the first color of the morning:
night raises questions
that darkness does not resolve.
